Autumn… Building Health

We’re officially nearly 30 days into autumn, a time of gearing down, gentle light, energies slowing! This is my favorite season since I love the colors, the change in the sun’s light to a more golden hue and the literal shift in the essence radiated by the sun which I can feel in the air. Respecting this change in ourselves is the most essential aspect for building health and immunity during this season and in preparation for winter. Slow down slightly from your summer pace, inhale the changes in the environment, sleep longer if you are so inclined, get out those fall and winter clothes and take in their warmth. The change of seasons is always an advantageous time to take account of our lives, goals and deepest issues…a time to dig-in…it can be fertile ground to find those gems in life.
